Cross-Country
Skiing There is a cross-country trail out back of the chalet that leads
through the woods directly to the base of Mont Ste. Marie. You are free to cross-country
ski across the lake as well. Mont
Ste. Marie Ski Hill With more than 1,200 vertical feet, Mont Ste-Marie
is the highest peak and easily the best ski hill in the Outaouais. There are a
total of 24 trails spanning two mountain peaks, the region's best Half Pipe and
boarding parks, two high speed detachable quad lifts, state of the art grooming
and snowmaking equipment and some excellent après ski amenities. With two
high-speed detachable quads, there are also virtually no lift lines. The
main peak is mix of beginner, intermediate and expert runs, which will satisfy
most boarders and skiers. This is also where the Boarding Park and the Half Pipe
are located. The
other peak, Cheval Blanc, consisting of mostly diamond and double diamond hills,
is the favorite haunting ground of the Quain Brother's clan. We have a long-standing
history with "Betsy", a particular favorite run of ours. For

Fishing Ice fishing has long been a popular winter activity on Lac Ste.
Marie, and you will notice locals out on the ice from the upstairs view. Please
be sure to know what you are doing before venturing out onto the lake with an
auger and gear. This is not for the social angler without an expert in toe. Winter
catches are mostly Walleye, Perch and some Pike. For
